RS202_1.gz, RS202_2.gz ------------------------------------------------------ This is the sound of a Roland RS202 string machine with full registers, chorus and slight vibrato. It has two long samples for each octave which gives great quality and realism. I used the original vibrato since it was impossible to mimic this on the ASR. Tip: This sound is marvellous if you want a new vocoder (like zoom 1201) to sound the real 70's stuff. It's sampled on an ASR-10 but effects isn't essential. This instrument should work on all EPS:es and ASR's. It will probably work with the last OS for the last EMU hardware samples. Later Kurzweils will load the sample and keymap it but require some editing. The instrument is on two HD diskettes. All patch select buttons have variations of the sound. You'll need the epsdisk and gzip (or winzip) utilities to get this sound to an eps/asr compatible hd diskettes. The uncompressed file is in .gkh format. You'll find epsdisk at Chicken Systems Inc: http://www.chickensys.com/downloads/other.php Note: If using epsdisk you have to use HD diskettes and set "type" to standard hd. EPS disks default format is DD. A lot of other tools for ensoniq samplers can handle .gkh files. ------------------------------------------------------- Created by Moulin Noir aka Anders Wikholm (anders (at) moulin-noir.com).
